Jill and I have been pretty busy with other things, but I wanted to stop in an update you on some of the things that have been going on. Firstly, I have taken a step back from looking at the MacBooks. I still want one, but I am trying to be a good steward of my resources so I am taking my time. However, as I continue my research I have found some interesting resources. Here they are in case you are following along with me.
Here is a fun video showing parallels Desktop 3.0 running Windows XP on the Mac
Here is a look at how to disassemble a MacBook. It is interesting and gives a good idea of what it would take to do home repairs if push came to shove. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Mac/MacBook/86/
Here is a place to get 2GB memory upgrade kits for the MacBook. I am interested in the White MacBook but it only comes with 1GB and I would like to have 2GB without paying more than I have to for someone else to install it, so this is a good find for me. Do note that I haven’t actually bought from these guys so check em out before you hand over your money. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/MacBook/DDR2/
And the last thing I want to tell you about is the TalkShoe conference call I am hosting this Friday, September 14th at 7:00 PM CST. The topic for the call is going to be how to use sites like BlogCatalog.com to get visitors to your blog and how to find blog partners to build your online business. The call is free and everyone is invited to join in (long distance charges will depend on the plan you have with your service provider).
1. Dial: (724) 444-7444
2. Enter: 51402 # (Talkcast ID)
3. Enter: 1 # or your PIN
A pin is NOT required to call into this TalkCast. However, you will need a PIN and the TalkShoe client to chat and participate in the interactive online discussion.
The call is sponsored by my OpenSourceMarketer.com blog so you will hear me throw that web address around during the call. One of the experts at BlogCatalog.com has also agreed to be on the call to answer questions so you should definitely plan to be on the call with us.
So as you can see. Things have been busy. Jill has been expanding her SimpleDailyRecipes blog. She is making lots of friends on BlogCatalog and learning how to be a part time blogger.
We promise to get some more podcasts out to you soon.
